Added Value Picks McGowan for CMO Role
In the UK, Kantar-owned brand and insight agency Added Value has transferred Paul McGowan to its newly created position of Chief Marketing Officer, to lead an investment programme across its network of international offices.
McGowan joined the firm in 1989 after graduating from Oxford University. He was promoted to the Group Board in 1996 and was appointed Group Chairman in 2001. Most recently, McGowan worked as CEO of Global Clients, responsible for building client relationships.
Separately, Added Value is planning to launch a digital innovation and research platform later in the year, which McGowan says will better capture conversations, views, opinions and experiences from consumers and experts.
'Our continued commitment to invest in developing strategic tools and expert teams will enable us to deliver strong, more robust answers to our clients' toughest marketing challenges,' he added.
Added Value has operations in 14 countries and is part of WPP's Kantar Group. Last summer, the firm launched an interactive board game, to enable marketers and brand managers to define true brand character.
