Bono's Funds Give MR Firm a Lift
LA-based marketing sciences firm MarketShare Partners (MSP) has received funding from Elevation Partners, whose MD and co-founder is Bono, lead singer of the rock band U2. The investment figure was not disclosed.
 Founded in 2005, MSP has developed a suite of software solutions which combine advanced analytics and statistical modeling, to help companies improve the effectiveness of their sales and marketing strategies. The firm's main focus is on the evaluation of the effectiveness of search, display and social media, and their impact on traditional forms of advertising.
The new funds will be used to support continued growth, including the deployment of a suite of marketing allocation software solutions, and continued international expansion through organic and acquisitive growth.
MSP's Co-CEOs Wes Nichols and Jon Vein commented on the investment: 'Elevation Partners' expertise in media, marketing and entertainment makes them the right partner for us as we bring next generation technology to the world of marketing and media measurement - a world screaming for innovation.'
