Bollore Stalls at Motor Show
In case you're wondering, French financier Vincent Bollore is 'still thinking' about a possible merger between his advertising group Havas and Synovate owner Aegis, according to Reuters. Bollore has recently said that Aegis 'seems to be in good hands'.
He also said he had 'positive vibes' that Aegis' new management would allow the company to develop and that it would be efficiently led. Bollore is chairman and top shareholder of advertising giant Havas, as well as the largest shareholder in Aegis, on whose board he has repeatedly attempted to secure representation. Back in December, Bollore had said the two firms could 'do better' together and rumour has been rife since the departure of merger sceptic Robert Lerwill from Aegis last November.
Bollore was asked about the speculation while attending the Geneva motor show, where he is said to be considering an investment in legendary Italian auto stylist Pininfarina. On the Aegis deal he told Reuters 'I am still thinking about it but I will not tell you.'
