GfK Takes Majority of dmrkynetec
Global agency GfK has announced that it has increased its share in UK agriculture and animal health research specialist dmrkynetec by 49% to 75%.
Headquartered in Newbury, Berkshire, dmrkynetec was created out of the merger of Doane in the US and kynetec in the UK. Led by CEO Stephen Hearn, the firm employs around 120 people in 14 locations worldwide and recorded sales of EUR 19.8m in 2008.
The company, which will continue to operate under its present name, offers both syndicated tracking studies and custom research in the areas of animal health, biotechnology and crop protection.
GfK bought a 26% share last July, and increased it to 75% on 1st February.
