RTI Buys for Health Sector Expansion

In the US, non-profit research organization RTI International has acquired federal health marcoms specialist MasiMax Resources, to expand its services in the health sector. Terms were not disclosed.

Victoria HaynesRTI's staff of more than 2,800 provides research and technical expertise to governments and businesses in more than 40 countries in areas such as health, education and training, international development, economic and social policy, and energy and the environment.

Launched in 1993, MasiMax's core capabilities include communications, media and public relations, research and analysis, marketing, conferences and exhibits, and interactive technologies. Its analysts conduct qual and quant research for surveys, focus groups, case studies, epidemiologic reviews, policy analyses, field audits, and process and outcome evaluations.

'Adding these talented professionals to our team is part of a strategy to strengthen and broaden our project communications and marketing capabilities into new research fields and market sectors,' explained RTI President and CEO Victoria Haynes. 'Combining the capabilities of our two organizations will allow us to take advantage of many new and emerging opportunities in the federal sector.'

MasiMax will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of RTI International.
