Nielsen Names New MD in Taiwan
Nielsen has promoted Jennifer Wang to the position of Managing Director in Taiwan, replacing Gordon Stewart who will be returning to Australia in the summer.
 Wang moves into her new role from her current position as Client Leader. She joined the firm in 2000 as Group Account Manager in Taiwan, prior to which, she worked for Carrefour Taiwan. She holds an MA in Education Sciences from Paris VIII University (Université de Vincennes à Saint-Denis).
In her new role, Wang will report to Mitch Barns, President, Greater China, who comments: 'As a native Taiwanese, Jennifer brings both local market insight and international vision, and I have every confidence that she that she will charge the Nielsen Taiwan team with new energy and momentum.'
Since 2005, Stewart held the dual role of MD and Chairman of Nielsen in Taiwan. Prior to joining, he was MD of strategic consulting firm The Gist Asia Pacific, and of TNS Singapore, Malaysia & Indonesia. He previously held senior roles with international brands including Beiersdorf Australia, The Boots Company, George West Foods, and Nestlé. He will stay on as Chairman of Nielsen in Taiwan until June, before returning to Australia.
