CBC Switzerland Buys Share in Konso
In Switzerland, market research consultancy CBC has acquired 34% of consumer and social analysis firm Konso AG (Institut für Konsumenten und Sozialanalysen).
Founded in 1961, Konso provides full-service, CATI, qual and online research and consulting. The company, which has a full-time staff of six and around 100 part-time interviewers, specialises in the B2B, retail, communications and social sectors. It will continue to be led by Directors Hans-Ruedi Hertig and Joel Weill, and Board Chairman, Dr Ralph Weill.
Charles Merkle, CEO and President of CBC said that the deal will strengthen his firm's position in the market and support its expansion plans.
CBC has been conducting market research in China since 1995, and now has 100 employees and 1,000 part-time staff working from its offices in Bern, Switzerland; Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, China; Tokyo, Japan, and Mumbai, India.
