US Healthcare Researcher Acquired
New York-based healthcare specialist Rood Research has been acquired by independent equity research firm Majestic Research, whose services include data driven analysis. Terms were not disclosed.
Established 15 years ago, Rood works with pharmaceutical and biotech clients in all therapeutic areas and all healthcare industry segments. Majestic was formed in 2002 and offers clients including major hedge funds and mutual funds proprietary methods and tools for accessing real-time data for equity research, including Web harvesting technology. In addition to healthcare, it covers a range of sectors including airlines, casinos, consumer technology, retail, real estate and video games. It also conducts custom market research.
