Consulting Firm Buys Retail Analyst
In the US, Tango Management Consulting (TMC) has acquired InSite Analytics, a provider of retail market optimization and sales forecasting models. The firm has also hired retail sector veteran Mark Zygmontowicz, former Partner and EVP at Thompson Associates.
David Bunten, CEO of InSite Analytics, will join TMC as Director of its Retail Analytics group, leading its day-to-day operations, while Zygmontowicz will have overall business unit responsibility for retail analytics at TMC. TMC says this reunites key members of Thompson Associates, 'the nation's leader in retail market research' and the largest firm of its kind in the United States until its acquisition by MapInfo in 2003.
In addition to Thompson, Bunten also worked at Equifax NDS (now part of Claritas), ESRI and geoVue. Zygmontowicz was one of the first Partners at Thompson Associates and a member of the ICSC Research Advisory Task Force. The two have forty years of relevant experience between them.
Jack Thompson, President and CEO of TMC, says the arrival of the two men and of the whole InSite team 'will immediately establish TMC as the leader in the retail analytics realm.'
Tango works for retail, commercial, and corporate real estate clients and was formed in 2008 as a partnership with Boulder, Colorado-based private equity investor Tango. With offices in Dallas, Boulder, Tampa, Toronto, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Hyderabad, it is online at www.tangomc.com .
