Opinium Launches Financial Advisor Panel

In the UK, full service agency Opinium Research has joined forces with IFA Promotion (IFAP) to launch an online research panel of independent financial advisors (IFAs). A consumer survey run in tandem will allow comparison of the views of the two groups.

IFAP is known for hosting an online 'Find an IFA' search.

Once established, the 'Independent Voice' panel will provide companies inside and outside the financial services sector with access to the views of IFAs across the country, as well as the ability to compare these views with those of the public.

Opinium Research will recruit IFAs from the 16,500 individual member IFAs currently listed on IFAP's database, to form the twin-track panel.

The panel will highlight the differences and similarities between consumer and IFA opinion, to enable clients to include feedback from both groups in their product development and marketing strategies.

Independent Voice will run monthly omnibus surveys that will pose identical questions to the IFA community and a representative sample of UK adults. It will also build and run ad hoc and bespoke surveys with IFAs only and IFAs and consumers in tandem.

Regular report data will be available to panel members to enable them to tap into peer group thinking and the views of consumers on issues and products.

Opinium Director Dan Foreman explains: 'We believe Independent Voice will be different from other research ventures out there. Not just through our tandem consumer research, but also by getting IFAs involved in debate and discussion and creating a forum where those that take part gain access to added value information and opinion.'

London-based Opinium Research was launched in 2007 to offer access to weekly online omnibus surveys, a range of bespoke market research services and a number of specialist panels.
