Research Now Foresees 23% Rise in H1 Revenues
Online research and panels specialist Research Now is predicting first half revenues will rise 23% to £23.5m (2008: £19.1m), ahead of its interim results which are due out on Wednesday 1 July 2009.
Gross margin is expected to be up 28% to £18.3m (2008: £15.2m), while operating profits could be up as much as 40% to £3.8m from £2.7m in the same period last year.
'Despite the tough economic backdrop, Research Now has performed strongly in the first half and we are now more confident in our outlook for the year as a whole,' according to CEO Chris Havemann. 'Our performance to date continues to reflect high levels of repeat business, and with the healthy pickup in revenues in March continuing through April, we remain cautiously optimistic for the second half.'
Research Now has 17 offices across Europe, the US, and AsiaPacific, and 36 proprietary, research-only panels.
In February, the company announced a 60% increase in group revenues to £41.2m for 2008, compared with £25.8m a year previously.
