NEC Corporation of America has hired Jim Reisteter as general manager of its Digital Cinema Division, reporting to VP of the Solutions Business, Yuji Ichimura. The role involves integrating NEC’s visual display products, infrastructure, and integration services to provide specialized, turnkey solutions for the delivery and management of digital content for cinema and theatre use. Reisteter was previously VP of Sales and Marketing at front projector and flat panel display market researcher Pacific Media Associates; and before that worked at Interlink Electronics, and the professional digital imaging unit at Kodak. Previous senior-level sales and marketing management positions were at Hayes, Delrina, Ashton-Tate, and Government Technology Services, Inc. He holds a B.S. degree in Marketing from Pennsylvania State University. According to Ichimura: ‘Jim understands the customer perspective, and will ensure that our customers receive the state-of-the-art digital cinema and pre-show advertising technology solutions that they need.’ Headquartered in Irving, Texas, the firm is on the web at www.necam.com .
