SurveyMonkey Rolls Out 'for Good' CSR Initiative

September 26 2018

DIY survey software company SurveyMonkey has launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program called 'SurveyMonkey for Good', with a mission to 'advance equality and make a positive impact on society'. The firm has promoted attorney Melynnie Rizvi to oversee the program.

SurveyMonkey looks to make 'a positive impact on society'SurveyMonkey for Good builds on the 'SurveyMonkey Contribute' platform, which offers charitable incentives of $0.50 per completed survey, and has donated more than $13m to charity since its launch in 2011. With funding from a small percentage of the proceeds from the company's IPO, the new SurveyMonkey for Good scheme will begin by expanding the company's existing partnership with 'Listen for Good' (L4G), a national feedback initiative organized by philanthropic platform Fund for Shared Insight, which aims to listen to those people non-profits seek to help. Through the new initiative, SurveyMonkey is investing further resources, including volunteer time and survey expertise, into Listen for Good.

Rizvi, who is now Director, SurveyMonkey for Good, joined the company seven months ago as Head of Employment Law and Litigation, having previously held senior employment law roles with Symantec, Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith and Baker & McKenzie. Her first initiative was gathering feedback from SurveyMonkey's employees, the Board of Directors, and customers. Commenting on the survey, Rizvi said: 'We will use the findings to develop the core pillars that will drive SurveyMonkey for Good. We also want to empower other companies to do the same and made the questions available as a template, so other organizations can easily launch and improve their corporate responsibility programs in a data-driven manner'.
