London-based behavioural insights consultancy Irrational Agency has announced that co-founder Elina Halonen is leaving the firm, to pursue independent work in the MR and consumer insights space alongside her academic research. Her co-founder Leigh Caldwell continues at the helm of Irrational.Halonen (pictured), who is based in The Netherlands, started the company in 2012 with Caldwell, and has helped grow it to an international team of ten, boosting the profile of behavioural science within the sector. In her new roles she will continue her work in applying cross-cultural consumer psychology in the insights and behaviour change industry, supported by her three Master's degrees in Marketing; Linguistics; and Cross-Cultural Psychology. She also co-founded the London Behavioural Economics Network and was Editor of the InDecision blog for four years. Earlier in her career she worked briefly at MMR, Ipsos and Basis Research.
She comments: 'I am very proud of what Leigh and I have accomplished during the past seven years. I'm looking forward to taking the depth of experience and skills I have learned during my time at Irrational Agency into the next stage of my professional journey'.
