UK research and data firm Delineate has appointed former TNS UK and Hall & Partners UK CEO Paul Edwards as Chairman.Founded in 2016 by former BT research head James 'JT' Turner, Delineate combines opinion research, technology and data science to provide solutions for marketing and communications challenges. A year after setting up Delineate, Turner and political and behavioural data scientist Zsolt Kiss launched the Opinion.Life survey and opinion research business as a 'challenger' polling company, and Delineate acquired Opinion.Life in March.
Edwards (pictured) takes up the position of Non-Executive Chairman, having first been appointed to Delineate's Board in October 2017. He began his career at Research International (RI) and after stints at agencies Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Young & Rubicam, SP Lintas, The Henley Centre, Lowe and Publicis, he returned to RI as CEO. He then became Chairman of TNS-Research International UK, before moving to Hall & Partners. Edwards also holds several non-executive roles in global businesses including design agency JKR.
Commenting on the appointment, Turner said: 'Paul has already been invaluable in his role as NED, and we're delighted that he has accepted the position to chair the board. We have ambitious growth plans, and having Paul as our Chairman will only help us accelerate those plans even more quickly'.
