US-based hi-tech research company In-Stat has launched an office in China, with Jason Yin as MD. In-Stat's presence in China is an extension of the company's joint venture with International Data Group (IDG).
The Beijing office was officially launched in July at an event that involved experts from across the technology industry. Presentations focused on trends in China's hi-tech market.
Between them, the team members in the new office have 25 years' experience in the telecoms, consumer electronics and semiconductor industries. Yin comes to the firm from Microsoft China, where he was most recently a Licensing Manager in the Enterprise and Partner Group.
