In the UK, TNS has moved James Fergusson to the post of Global Technology Head, responsible for leading the sector team and strengthening its presence across all markets.
Fergusson joined the firm in 2001, later becoming Regional Technology Sector lead for Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa. He then took responsibility for Sectors, with a specific remit for the Emerging Market Strategy division.
He has also led several global accounts, and more recently in his role as Global Director, Rapid Growth Emerging Markets (RGEMs), he was instrumental in developing TNS's RGEM capabilities, and establishing its Digital and Youth specialisations across the APMEA region.
'I am extremely confident that James has the right combination of sector knowledge and market focus to ensure our Technology Sector strategy continues to address our clients' changing needs,' says CEO Pedro Ross, to whom Fergusson reports. 'I would like to congratulate him, and wish him every success in his new role.'
Fergusson takes over the post from Matthew Froggatt, who was recently appointed as Chief Development Officer of a new central division called Corporate Development, which incorporates a number of the company's current areas of marketing and strategy expertise.
