Harris Interactive has launched 'Flash Poll' - a service which provides representative research data on up to 1,000 respondents in 36 hours. Each research project commissioned using the service is treated as a unique piece of custom research.
Senior AD Caterina Gerlotto explains that the service is the result of a series of standalone polls Harris undertook during the build up to the 2010 UK general elections. Data had to be on the client's desk, weighted, within 36 hours of commissioning, and Gerlotto says that one of the polls resulted in Harris being the 'closest online pollster' in accurately predicting the result.
'It is not often as researchers that you get to validate your data, and this cemented our belief in the approach and spurred our desire to want to offer it to other clients,' Gerlotto stated. 'We packaged the offer up as Flash Poll, to extend the product more widely.'
The new package includes full research support, and analysis of results is made available alongside analysis of the key demographic variables.
Flash Poll has already been rolled out in the UK, France and Germany, with more countries scheduled for coverage in the first quarter of 2011.
