Pike Research Opens in UK

US-based cleantech market research and consulting firm Pike Research has opened a European HQ in London, where it has recruited a number of industry analysts and business development staff.

Pike Research was founded last year by former ABI Research leader Clint Wheelock, to provide market research and industry analysis for the global clean technology markets. The firm now has US offices in Boulder, CO, and Washington, DC.

'Europe is a hotbed of innovation in the cleantech industry, and London has long been a strong center of activity in the technology market analysis business,' states Wheelock. 'We are excited to bring new talent from the region to strengthen our global market intelligence team.'

Initial members of the European staff include industry analysts and business development professionals from technology analyst firms such as Analysis Mason, Fuel Cell Today, In-Stat, Ovum, RHK and Yankee Group.

Wheelock says the firm plans to expand its team in the UK as well as across Europe.
