GfK HealthCare has appointed three senior researchers for leadership roles across its market access, pricing and reimbursement, and global syndicated divisions in the US and Germany.
Camm Epstein joins as Vice President, Market Access - US Practice Lead, with more than 20 years' experience in healthcare research. Most recently, he built and led a managed markets research practice for healthcare marcomms firm MediMedia, prior to which, he was a Partner at Epstein & Associates Research. Earlier in his career, he managed care-related health policy research for a number of government agencies.
In his new East Hanover, NJ-based position, he is responsible for describing current and predicting future market access, while measuring payer reactions to pricing, new products, market events, sales and marketing, health economics and outcomes research.
Based in Nuremburg, Germany, Heinz Ohde re-joins GfK as Division Manager, Global Syndicated Services, with a 22 year marketing research background. Having begun his career at GfK, he has since worked at Ventiv Health Germany, and at Yamanouchi Pharma Germany (now Astellas). Most recently, he served as Business Development Director at Cegedim Strategic Data in Paris, France.
At GfK Healthcare, Ohde is responsible for globalization of sales force effectiveness studies; the development of therapeutic class studies tools; and innovative approaches in digital marketing. More specifically, his group will develop a multi-country treatment tracking system that includes doctors, patients and other healthcare players as target groups.
Also in Nuremburg, Marco Rauland joins as Head of Pricing & Reimbursement, with more than 15 years' experience of drug development, marketing, market research, and pricing consulting experience in the pharma sector. Prior to taking up his new post, Rauland served as Global Head of the Pricing, Access & Reimbursement practice for Genactis, before which, he was Director of the Pricing & Reimbursement business unit at TNS Healthcare (now Kantar Health).
In his new role, Rauland will help shape clients' global pricing and reimbursement strategies, while tapping into GfK HealthCare expertise from around the world to analyze the effects of ongoing changes in the different local healthcare systems on pricing and market access strategies.
