Multi-screen measurement specialist Rentrak has introduced time-shifted DVR ratings data into its StationView Essentials service, which provides viewing information from more than 17 million televisions across the US.
Available in all 210 television markets, StationView Essentials offers a fully integrated database of detailed Satellite, Telco TV and Cable viewing information across every zip code in the country.
The service combines a database of viewing habits with product consumption information from consumer data giant Experian Simmons, in order to generate 'purchaser ratings'.
Through the new time-shifted service, the firm is offering a range of playback choices including 'same day' and data on playback occurring within 1, 2, 3, 7 and 15 days from original airing.
This, it says, will enable agencies, advertisers and TV stations to decide which time period is the most relevant for their business strategies.
'Rentrak's introduction of time-shifted viewing behaviors into StationView Essentials will provide a TV database currency that allows a user to decide what time frame of viewing is most important for their business,' states Steven Walsh, SVP, Local Market Television Sales, Rentrak.
