TNS-BMRB, the social research arm of Kantar, today announced the appointment of Ben Toombs, previously a Director at independent qual specialists Cragg Ross Dawson, as Qualitative Director.
Toombs has a background in public sector research having led both behavioural and policy evaluation projects for government departments such as the Ministry of Justice, the Home Office, the Dept for Transport and the Dept for Culture, Media and Sport. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, an AMRS, and a member of the Social Research Association and the AQR.
He reports to Executive Director Dr Darren Bhattachary, who remarks: 'Having consulted with various government stakeholders, as well as regularly debriefed public sector directors and government ministers on policy issues, Ben will be in a strong position to work with TNS-BMRB's public sector clients and to challenge them to look at the best ways to get to the heart of social and political issues.'
