Nielsen has promoted former Microsoft exec Celia Fan to lead its 'Watch' media research division in Hong Kong.
The 'Watch' business integrates Nielsen's cross-media platform audience measurement, advertising effectiveness and social media intelligence capabilities into one global business, covering media, online, TV and mobile.
Fan joined Nielsen in December 2008, where she most recently served as Director, Media Research, in charge of the media, client service and business development teams in Hong Kong.
Before joining, she worked for Microsoft Hong Kong as Regional Research and Market Insights Lead, responsible for formulating research strategies for MSN for the Asia Pacific region. Earlier, she served as Research Director for Turner International Asia Pacific for seven years and Asiaweek for four years. She began her MR career at Nielsen company Survey Research Group Hong Kong in the 1990s.
