In the US, radio ratings giant Arbitron has expanded Sean Creamer's role to include that of Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the company's day-to-day operations and growth strategy.
Creamer joined Arbitron in 2005 as EVP, Finance and Planning, before moving up to the role of Chief Financial Officer later that year. Last summer, he was named EVP, US Media Services, responsible for the company's radio and cross-platform services and operations.
In his new expanded role, Creamer assumes overall operational and financial responsibility for Arbitron's core businesses, and is charged with executing the company's cross-platform, digital and mobile growth strategies in the US and in international markets. He already leads the company's product and operations organizations, and now adds the oversight of IT, engineering, sales and marketing.
Creamer continues to report to Arbitron President and CEO Bill Kerr, who comments: 'Sean has consistently demonstrated a high level of executive acumen, a strong customer focus and a broad business perspective that makes this expanded role a logical next step as we continue to evolve our senior management team.'
Before joining the firm, Creamer was SVP and CFO of Laureate Education, prior to which he held a number of financial positions at Mobil Corporation and Price Waterhouse.
