Eye tracking software solutions firm iMotions has struck a deal with emotion measurement specialist Affectiva, to integrate the latter's wireless Q Sensor into its Attention Tool platform.
iMotions has a US office at MIT, from whose Media Lab Affectiva is a spin-off. Q Sensor is a wearable, wireless biosensor which measures electrodermal skin activity (EDA). The firms say the two platforms will be fully integrated in a scalable plug-and-play solution allowing clients to collect synchronized emotional insights and eye tracking / attention data.
According to David Berman, CEO of Affectiva, 'Accurate and scalable emotion measurement has become an essential part of consumer market research'. He adds: 'By working jointly with iMotions' eye tracking software platform, we make it even easier to deliver cost-effective, scalable and actionable emotion insights to our combined customers.' iMotions CEO and founder Peter Hartzbech comments: 'The addition of Affectiva's Q Sensor, will strengthen our offering for universities and market research companies.'
iMotions was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark and is online at www.imotionsglobal.com . Affectiva, which also offers Affdex, a facial expression recognition technology solution, is on the Web at www.affectiva.com .
