In the US, social media ad targeting specialist RadiumOne has gained two patents for its ShareGraph proprietary technology, which helps marketers find the users most closely connected to their brand's known customers by analyzing their online sharing behavior.
San Francisco-based RadiumOne collects data relating to use of and interaction on social media, and then applies an algorithm which weights it and segments users into 'social clusters'. The ShareGraph platform combines traditional targeting technologies with social-media sharing connections to enable engagement and audience targeting, identifying users' closest social media connections on the open web.
