In Sydney, WPP AUNZ has appointed former Kantar Australia/New Zealand CEO Ben Dixon for the newly created role of CEO Data Investment Management. The business has also moved former Ogilvy PR Australia CEO Kieran Moore to CEO Public Relations and Public Affairs.
WPP AUNZ was formed following the marcoms giant's acquisition of a controlling stake in STW Communications. Until February, Dixon worked as MD of Kantar agency Millward Brown, where he spentmore than eight years. Earlier, he held leadership roles at Nielsen, Nielsen subsidiary Surveys Australia, and MRA. Agencies within his new remit include Millward Brown, TNS, AMR, ORU, Kantar Vermeer, Added Value, Colmar Brunton Australia, TNS New Zealand and Colmar Brunton New Zealand.
Dixon and Moore join John Steedman - recently appointed as Chairman Media Services - as part of WPP AUNZ's Exco team reporting directly to the division's Board, and to divisional CEO Mike Connaghan, who comments: 'Our PR and data investment management divisions are now very large and very important drivers of the total group growth. Being able to call on Kieran and Ben, experts in their fields, overseeing, mentoring and creating better connectivity is going to be a huge benefit to all our people, companies and clients'.
