French Expansion for UK-based Brandwatch

Brighton, UK-based social media analytics specialist Brandwatch has opened a Paris office, its sixth location worldwide; and has appointed Bertrand Saint-Martin as VP for France.

Giles PalmerSaint-Martin brings more than 25 years' experience in sales and marketing roles in Europe and Asia, having spent the last fourteen at French software developer Dassault Systèmes. In his new role, he will strengthen and expand the company's existing client base in France.

The company says the opening is 'the first step towards the global expansion supported by the $33m Series C funding round it closed a year ago, from French venture capitalists Partech Ventures.

Brandwatch also has offices in New York, San Francisco, Berlin and Singapore, and its range of tools includes Analytics, influencers and trends spotter Audiences and Vizia, which 'distributes visually engaging insights to the physical places where the action happens'. Last month, the company launched a division called the Global Customer Success group, hiring Pat Phelan to lead it as EVP.
