Australian Launch and Appointment for SMG Insight

YouGov-owned sports and sponsorship specialist SMG Insight has opened a Melbourne office and appointed Ned Morris as MD in Australia and New Zealand.

Ned MorrisMorris will target the countries' sports industry, rightsholders, agencies and sponsors with services including media tracking and auditing, sponsorship and rights valuation, economic impact studies and consumer insights. One service, YouGov SportsIndex, has been tailored specifically for the Australia and New Zealand markets, and will monitor perceptions of 42 sports properties from the AFL to Super Netball, across 16 brand-style metrics.

Morris was previously Director of Business Solutions at Nielsen Sports - he was SVP Middle East for Repucom in a seven-year spell at the company before its acquisition by Nielsen in 2016.
