In the US, MR providers MarketCast, Insight Strategy Group and social media analytics specialist Fizziology have merged under a new parent company, MarketCast Group.
MarketCast acquired New York-based Insight Strategy Group in 2015, then last year bought Fizziology, which has developed proprietary software to convert social media opinions into trackable data and insights across areas such as casting analysis, marketing performance measurement and fan identification. The group says the merger is the most recent step in enhancing and integrating research and analytics offerings across the three companies.
MarketCast Group CEO Henry Shapiro (pictured) comments: 'Each of our companies is distinct yet complementary to the whole, and our new brand architecture and visual identity reflects this evolution. Coming together under one banner preserves the brand equity of each business while communicating our broader unity and value to customers across the end markets we serve'.
