The Leading Edge Names Regional CEOs

In Sydney, insight and strategy consultancy The Leading Edge has hired former Ipsos Marketing ANZ MD Gillian O'Sullivan for the newly created role of APAC Chief Exec. Meanwhile UK-based Chris Paxton has been promoted to CEO of EMEA.

Now part of the Enero Group, the company says it has plans to expand its presence in the USA in the next twelve months to broaden and strengthen its global footprint. The new APAC CEO position has been created as part of a push into the Asian market. O'Sullivan (pictured) joins after eight years in the Ipsos role, before which she worked for AMR Interactive as Group Account Director. Prior to this, she spent nearly ten years at Nielsen, latterly as Executive Director, leading the Consumer Research division in Australia; and she was a Strategic Account Director at Roy Morgan Research. She began her carer in brand management roles at Johnson & Johnson Medical and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare.

Paxton has been with the firm for nearly ten years, and most recently served as MD in the London office, leading the offering in Europe. Before this he was Global Head of Strategy, in charge of a team which worked alongside researchers in order to translate data into insight-led strategy and activation solutions. Earlier, he worked as a Director for research consultancy The Buzz Ltd, responsible for the quant offer; after an initial three years at The Leading Edge in a Research Consultant role.
