Ciao Surveys Changes European Line-Up

Greenfield Online-owned Ciao Surveys has hired Chris Watson as Senior Director, Client Development for the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands; and promoted Leslie Abell, Christophe Deguignet and Cedric Maury.

Based in London, Watson will be responsible for driving the firm's client development process, and forging strategic relationships with partner companies. Before taking up the new post, he was a founder of Qureshi Marketing & Research, and when it was acquired by MASMI Research, became Board Director of MASMI UK and its Company Secretary.

MD Richard Thornton comments: 'Chris has a proven client development track record and an excellent network of contacts within the UK-based market research industry.'

Abell becomes Senior Director, Client Development for Germany, the Nordics, Austria and Switzerland. He joined Ciao in 2005 as Director of Client Development for the Benelux countries, and then moved on to the position of Global Director of Pricing Strategy. Before joining the firm, he spent five years in sales and marketing at Information Resources and GfK.

Deguignet is promoted from Client Development Director for Southern Europe to European Director, Key Accounts Team. He joined the firm in 2004 as Client Development Director for France, and previously held global positions with Gartner and JupiterMediametrix.

Maury, the new Director Client Development, France, joined Ciao in 2005 as Sales Manager after working in a number of global positions with ACNielsen.

Explained Thornton: 'We have realigned our client development team across Europe to ensure we best meet the growing customer demand we are seeing in the European market, with experienced managers Abell, Deguignet and Maury taking on added responsibility.'

With this realignment, Ciao Surveys has also created dedicated client services and project delivery teams for key accounts; with a particular focus on major global accounts.
