London-headquartered BDRC (Business Development Research Consultants) has been appointed as the UK representative of international research network, Associated Global Market Research (AGMR).
Founded in 1986, AGMR provides research services through a network of members based in more than 30 countries across Europe, Asia, North America, the Middle East & Africa, and South America.
As well as offering clients their services, these partners meet regularly to exchange information, share techniques and experiences, and discuss cultural and technical issues. During the year, BDRC will be participating in these meetings in Shanghai, Riga and Montreal.
BDRC Chief Executive Dr Cris Tarrant says certain types of research call for a 'deep local cultural appreciation' and for fieldworkers on the ground: 'For such studies the bond of understanding between AGMR agencies makes them a reassuring resource to call on'.
Tarrant believes that by joining the network, BDRC will also be able to offer several of its point-of-sale measurement products to other AGMR partners, which will provide the agency with a new revenue stream.
BDRC was founded in 1991 and now comprises two firms: BDRC with offices in South Africa and the Far East; and Perspective, a UK-based telephone and online research facility with 185 CATI stations across three call centres. The agency is on the web at www.bdrc.co.uk , while AGMR is at www.agmr.com.
