UK-based brand and insight agency Added Value has appointed Janine Hawkins as Global CEO, replacing Angus Porter who is leaving to take up the position of Group Strategy Director with Thomas Cook Group from 1 June.
Hawkins is promoted from her existing role of Global CEO for People and Organisation. She joined the business in 1995, and previously worked for nine years at TNS and Philip Morris in both marketing and consumer research roles.
Eric Salama, CEO of Added Value's parent company Kantar, commented: 'It's always nice to be able to appoint from within and on this occasion there was no need to look outside. Janine has demonstrated a great ability to add value to clients, a real passion for developing the people within the group and for recruiting new talent where necessary and a respect for the variety of offers and cultures which make Added Value the business it is.'
Salama also thanked Porter and wished him well in his new role, adding that it had been a 'great pleasure' to work with him.
Porter joined Added Value in 2005, having previously held roles at Abbey, Mars and BT. In his new position with Thomas Cook, he will be responsible for the firm's overall brand and overseeing the group's strategic e-commerce agenda. He has been an independent Non-Executive Director of Thomas Cook Group since last summer.
Added Value has 25 locations in 15 countries, from which it offers brand marketing, consumer insight, innovation, and communications optimisation. Web site: www.added-value.com .
