DDW and MAi to Merge

In the US, independent marketing research firms Data Development Worldwide (DDW) and Marketing Analysts Incorporated (MAi) are to merge. Financial details have not been disclosed.

DDW was founded in 1960, since when it has conducted over 30,000 custom MR studies in countries across the world. The firm employs more than 100 people at its New York headquarters and offices throughout the US. Specialist sectors include consumer products, financial services, pharmaceutical, communications, and traditional/new media.

Founded in 1982, MAi is a strategic, custom market research firm which offers virtual reality, volumetric forecasting, and price optimization for a broad range of industries, and conducts both quant and qual studies in thirty countries on six continents. The company is headquartered in Charleston, SC and has offices in Charlotte, NC and the New York metro area.
