Kantar Media Research, the specialist media research business of Millward Brown and part of Kantar, has expanded its network in recent weeks with the acquisition of two companies.
The company has firstly acquired Mediafax, Inc., the leading marketing research agency in Puerto Rico, which employs 72 people. Mediafax provides television audience measurement, competitive media advertising expenditure reporting and custom survey research services. Mediafax Television Audience Measurements are an electronic peoplemeter-based service, audited annually and accredited by the US-based Media Research Council.
Kantar Media Research has also acquired 75% of the issued share capital of JFC Informatique et Media SA, a leading media software provider to the French and other European markets. JFC specialises in the provision of audience analysis systems for the print, television and radio industries. In addition the company provides radio audience analysis systems in a number of other European countries.
