The female co-founder of UK research and information company, FreshMinds, Caroline Plumb, has been included in the 'Management Today' bi-annual ranking of young female talent - the 35 women in Britain under 35 years old, predicted to reach the top of their chosen careers in ten to fifteen years' time.
The FreshMinds business uses a unique resourcing model to match companies with outstanding graduates, MBAs and PhDs for business research projects. These fall into two major categories: FreshInfo, a rapid response data and information gathering service, and FreshInsight, the bespoke research and analysis offering.
The company has grown rapidly in its two and a half years of existence, now boasting 15 full-time staff, a projected turnover for 2003 of £1.3m, and a client list from a range of different industries, including high-growth start-ups, leading City firms, and blue-chips like Unilever, Diageo and MSN.
Caroline Plumb (24) co-founded FreshMinds in September 2000 with her business partner, Charlie Osmond (25). With primary responsibility for the research and financial operations of FreshMinds, Caroline also advises on research methodologies and manages key client relationships, including leading investment banks and management consultancies. Caroline was employed by the Government Communication Headquarters for three years, in an engineering role, and later worked as an analyst at Fletcher Research (now Forrester Research) before co-founding FreshMinds.
