IQ Holdings | June 25 2009 |
In the UK, B2B research specialist IQ Holdings has appointed Gale Blears to its Board of Directors, following the resignation of Janette Weir as a Director of both IQ Holdings and IQ Research.
Blears is currently Managing Director of Viewpoint Field Services, which was acquired by IQ in January. During her time with the firm, she has specialised in conducting medical market research, and she also led the design and creation of Viewpoint’s management information system.
IQ Holdings MD Julian Green comments: 'We are delighted that Gale is joining the Board. We believe that she will be an immense asset enabling the successful integration of Viewpoint and driving the business forward.’
Weir joined IQ Research in 2005, where she latterly worked as Lead Analyst for Life and Pensions, responsible for developing syndicated life and pensions studies. Before this, she held senior financial services research roles at Datamonitor, McKinsey & Company, and the Association of British Insurers. She has left the group to set up her own business.
Green thanked Weir for her service to IQ Holdings, and wished her well in the future.
