In the UK, GfK has appointed Joe Staton as Global Consumer Trends Director of its GfK Roper Consulting division.
Staton joins with 20 years’ experience of working both locally and internationally with clients across multiple industries. Most recently, he served as Planning Director at The Future Foundation, where he helped launch Mosaic UK 2009, co-authored ‘Social Media Futures’ for the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA), and was a regular media commentator on the impact of the recession on consumers, brands and marketing. He previously worked for ad agencies JWT, Leo Burnett and Ammirati Puris Lintas.
In his new role, Staton is tasked with leading innovation around the division’s TrendKey global consumer trends platform. Based at GfK’s London headquarters in Blackfriars, he will work across the GfK global network.
