In the US, industry body the Web Analytics Association (WAA) has elected five new Directors for its 2010-11 year, beginning in May.
The WAA Board, which comprises individuals from across the US, Canada and Europe, reflects the wide range of industry experience and expertise that make up the growing marketing analytics profession.
Its primary objectives include providing quality education, developing standards and best practices, certification, networking, conducting timely and relevant research, and advocating for issues that advance the global web analytics industry.
New members, who will serve a two-year term on the WAA Board, are:- Vicky Brock, Director, Highland Business Research
- June Dershewitz, VP, Analytics, Semphonic
- John Lovett, Senior Partner, Web Analytics Demystified
- Dennis Mortensen, Director of Data Insights, Yahoo!
- Jim Sterne, Founder, Target Marketing and eMetrics Marketing Optimization Summit.
They join current Board members who will be returning this year:- Anil Batra, Chief Analytics Officer, Ascentium
- Stéphane Hamel, Web Analytics Advocate, Immeria Consulting Services
- Matthew Langie, Senior Director, Product Marketing (Web Analytics), Omniture
- Peter Sanborn, Group Manager, Web Analytics, Microsoft Corporation
- Rachel Scotto, Executive Director, Sony Pictures Entertainment
- Ed Wu, Senior Analyst, Global Consumer Online, Dell
