In the UK, Amrita Sood and Michael Thompson have both been promoted to the post of Divisional Director at GfK NOP.
Sood joined the firm ten years ago and has since worked her way up through the ranks, including time as Social Research Associate Director.
Thompson, who has been promoted from the position of Research Director. also has ten years’ market research experience. He began his career at Andrew Irving Associates.
In their new roles, Sood and Thompson will jointly lead the eight-strong qualitative team within the Social Research division.
Nick Moon, MD of the division said: ‘Qualitative work has been growing at GfK NOP since the decision was taken to combine the social research qualitative researchers with the quantitative social team. Alison Palmer played a huge role in leading this growth, with assistance from Michael and Amrita, and now that they have taken over the reins following her retirement, I am confident they will build on her successes.’
