In the UK, Frank Saez, former Vice President of IMG research division Comperio, has been appointed new Managing Director of IFM Sports Marketing Surveys (SMS). He replaces Stephen Proctor who has stepped down as Head of the company after more than 20 years.
Saez founded Comperio Research in early 2000. Prior to this, he worked as Research Director at Kagan World Media for four years, where he was responsible for sports research, consulting and business development.
In his new role, Saez is charged with extending the firm’s market position in research and consulting.
Proctor, who oversaw the integration of SMS into IFM, will remain a Director of the firm and a member of its Group Management Board.

Surrey-based SMS is part of the IFM Group, which has 18 offices and more than 300 employees worldwide. The firm offers sponsorship evaluations, product testing, economic impact studies, retail and consumer behaviour and attitude surveys, market industry reports, and return on investment modelling.
