Isobar | May 20 2009 |
Former Research International (RI) Worldwide CEO Mark Cranmer has joined Aegis Media as CEO of its digital marketing services network Isobar. He replaces Nigel Morris who has been appointed CEO of Aegis Media North America.
With a career spanning 30 years, Cranmer will now become a member of the Aegis Media Global Executive.
He joined RI in 2006, managing 2,500 employees spread across 50 countries. Prior to this, he was CEO of Starcom MediaVest EMEA, and worked for a number of ad and media agencies including BBH, Publicis, JWT, Leo Burnett and D'Arcy. Last August, he was appointed Chairman of JICIMS (the Joint Industry Committee for Internet Measurement Systems), to lead its initiative to establish a single online measurement currency.
Jerry Buhlmann, CEO of Aegis Media, comments: ‘Mark is a hugely experienced senior player in our industry. He has helped shape the modern agency business and is rightly hailed as an iconic and original thinker. No-one could be better qualified to help us enhance our preeminent position in digital and to lead our thinking and practice on integration.’
Isobar has a global network of 104 offices in 38 markets, and employs 3,500 people. Last September, the firm acquired Range Online Media – a US search engine marketing firm that has developed technology to measure online media, social and emerging media spaces.
