Information Services Group | September 25 2009 |
Information Services Group (ISG), which owns outsourcing data and advisory firm TPI, has appointed former Nielsen executive David Berger as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
For the past eight years, Berger worked at Nielsen; most recently as SVP, Corporate Controller and Investor Relations.
Prior to this, he worked for Simon & Schuster and Viacom for nine years, where he held a variety of financial positions and led a team of more than 200 financial professionals. He was previously at American National Can Company as Director and Business Controller of one of its divisions, and before this, he worked with Touche Ross & Company (now Deloitte). Berger is a graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and earned his MBA from the University of Chicago.
‘David and I worked closely together at Nielsen for a number of years and he brings a wealth of acquisition, cost management and financial expertise as we now prepare to move ISG to the next level of growth,’ stated Chairman and CEO Michael Connors.
Berger replaces Frank Martell, who is relocating to California to take up the role of CFO with a private services company. Connors thanked Martell for his contributions to the company and wished him the best for the future.
Connecticut-based ISG is run by a team including several former Nielsen / VNU executives and is on the web at www.informationsg.com , while Houston-based TPI is online at www.tpi.net .
Last month, ISG reported a 32% drop in first half revenues to $65.8m from $96.2m in the prior year period.
