Healthcare and pharma market research agency The Research Partnership has appointed Karen Swords as Director of Quantitative Research in London, and Prema Gopal as Associate Director in Singapore.
Swords joins with 15 years’ healthcare research experience. She was previously Director and Deputy Head of Health at Ipsos UK, and during her career, has gained expertise in conducting global tracking programmes and communications testing.
In her new role, Swords will be responsible for generating new business, as well as supporting the company’s research teams with their quant programmes.

We've been asked by clients to expand our capabilities and we now have a very talented team of 50 pharmaceutical research specialists and are in a strong position to support a significant amount of new business in 2009 and onwards.’
On 1 February, Gopal joins the Singapore office from her previous roles at TNS in Hong Kong and IMS Asia.
The Research Partnership has made a number of new appointments in the past few months to broaden its capabilities and expand its offering. Matthew Newman joined as Associate Director from GSK, where he was Business Intelligence Manager for Optima and Oncology; and Gunther Meert (Associate Director) and Guy Smith (Senior Research Executive) both joined from Branding Sciences,
The firm also opened offices in Toronto, and a satellite office in Berlin headed by Christin Firchau to support several research programmes being managed from these regions.
