LA-based marketing sciences firm MarketShare Partners (MSP) has appointed former Yahoo! strategist Ivan Markman as EVP of Operations and Strategy. Markman joins from Yahoo!, where he spent seven years in various executive roles. Most recently, he served as VP of Corporate Strategy, prior to which he worked as VP of Operations Finance. Before this he held strategy and operations roles at consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, and at Procter & Gamble. He has a Masters in Finance and a BA in Business from the Universidad de San Andres in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and an MBA from the Anderson School of Business at the University of California, Los Angeles. In his new role, Markman will have responsibility for the financial integrity of the company, oversee day-to-day operations and lead business strategy. ‘We are pleased to have Ivan join our senior management team,’ said Co-CEO Jon Vein. ‘His depth and breadth of new media experience makes him the perfect choice to lead these key areas of our business as we continue to transform the world of resource allocation and make marketing more accountable.’ Founded in 2005, MSP’s software solutions combine advanced analytics and statistical modeling, to help companies improve the effectiveness of their sales and marketing strategies.
