Ugam Expands US Presence

India-based market research outsourcing firm Ugam Research Solutions has increased its US client service and project management capabilities with ten new staff appointments.

In February, the firm opened new offices in Rochester, New York and Dallas, Texas. Its new Rochester-based Project Management and Operations Team will be led by recently appointed VP of Operations, Cara Longo, who joined the firm in January from Harris Interactive.

Separately, the new Account Management and Business Development team will support Russell Britt, the company's SVP of Sales and Marketing in North America. It comprises Travis Bohenek in Boston, Marcus Turner in Portland, Tara Sharp in Phoenix, Danielle Cupello in Rochester and Duane Joseph in New York.

'The reasons for our expansion are that we wanted to strengthen our local account management function; tap small and medium research companies; and offer onshore project management services,' stated co-founder and CMO Madhav Mirani. 'I am confident that, under Russell and Cara's leadership, the new team will be able to boost our North America initiatives and bring more value and cost efficiencies to our clients.'

Ugam, which employs more than 900 professionals in India, the US and the UK, offers online and telephone data collection, data cleaning and tabulation, advanced analytics, and project management services to the market research industry.
