In Sydney, Australia, online fieldwork and panel specialist Research Now has announced the appointment of Martin Filz as Managing Director, Asia Pacific from 1 November, replacing Jason Buchanan who is leaving to 'explore a new business venture'.
Since June, Filz has worked as Client Services Director, Asia, managing the firm's newly formed client development team in the region. In his new role, he will apply his background of building businesses in multicultural and multi-lingual environments to expand Research Now's Asia-Pacific activity.
Earlier in his career, Filz was Northern Europe MD for Nielsen//NetRatings for three years, prior to which he spent four years as MD Europe at RedSherriff before its integration into Nielsen. Most recently, he worked as a Director at Capgemini, and as MD of digital marcoms agency BlueFreeway.
Buchanan leaves to explore 'business opportunities in the Location-Based-Services, mobile and wireless technology arenas' according to Research Now, for whom he will continue to consult in the Asia-Pacific region, supported by Client Development Director APAC Brad Wilson, and the wider global management team.
CEO Chris Havemann commented: Jason has played a major role in building our Asia Pacific business into one of the top online fieldwork specialists in the region. He is leaving the business in great shape and his legacy will stand Research Now in good stead.'

In August, Research Now Asia opened two new offices in Singapore and Shanghai.
