In Canada, mobile data collection technology firm Techneos Systems has appointed Dave King as President, Chief Executive Officer and Director, replacing co-founder Mark Cameron who is to remain with the firm in an executive and Board capacity.
Founded in 1995, Techneos Systems provides survey software for mobile phones, PDAs, netbooks and other mobile devices. Last month, the firm launched SODA; a survey platform which works by downloading applications to mobile phones to run when they are offline, and connects to a wireless network as required to fetch projects and submit data.
New President & CEO King is a technology entrepreneur who early in his career held executive level management positions at Hewlett Packard and Sequent (acquired by IBM). He was most recently CEO of broadband wireless technology firm MetroBridge Networks.
'Dave has a proven track record that ideally suits the next stage of expansion for Techneos,' says Cameron. 'His experience complements the technical competence and customer service culture that have become hallmarks for the company.'
