Former Dow Jones EVP Clare Hart is reportedly set to take over as Chief Executive Officer of Database giant and ORC parent Infogroup if the company's acquisition by CCMP Capital Advisors is approved.
Current CEO Bill Fairfield is reported as saying that he will retire if the company is taken private. According to www.omaha.com , Infogroup officials declined to comment on the leadership change.
Hart spent 27 years with Dow Jones, latterly as an EVP, and worked under then-CEO Richard Zannino, who is now an MD at CCMP and helped to broker the acquisition deal. During those years she also was president of Dow Jones' enterprise group. She left the group in January.
The deal, announced last month, has met with opposition from major shareholders who claim the price is too low.
